Ajinkya Rahane was the calmest person ever even after getting run out after a scoring a ton at MCG against Australia. Early on day 4, there was a miscommunication between him and Ravindra Jadeja which resulted in a run-out. Rahane under pressure played a brilliant knock of 112 runs and helped India get a lead of above 100.

The stand-in Indian captain was getting ready to score a big one but was unfortunately again involved in a run-out. The batsman Jadeja played one towards the off-side and called Rahane for a quick single. The Indian skipper trusted his partner’s call but was unable to make the crease courtesy off a brilliant throw by Marnus Labuschagne. Rahane was found just short of the crease as wicket-keeper Tim Paine quickly dislodged the bails.

This gesture of Rahane towards Jadeja was applauded by everyone on Twitter as he again lead from the front.

Rahane tried raising the confidence of Jadeja and motivated him to continue batting and score runs. The partnership of Jadeja and Rahane was extremely crucial in the context of the match. The match was nicely poised when the two joined each other and Australia was looking to dismiss India quickly.

However, the partnership between Rahane and Jadeja added 121 vital runs for the sixth wicket and India got a substantial lead in the first innings. Meanwhile, Rahane walked back to the pavilion after scoring 112 splendid runs from 223 balls against Australia in the boxing day Test.
