The Chennai Super Kings batsman Ambati Rayudu who scored a match-winning knock in the opening game against Mumbai Indians is all set to miss more games in IPL 2020. The right-handed batsmen missed out in the game against Rajasthan Royals on 22nd September where the Royals comprehensively beat the Super Kings side.

Rayudu’s absence was felt immensely as the loopholes in the Chennai Super Kings middle-order opened up. Which resulted in the batsmen not being able to match the required run rate and ended up falling back on the score despite MS Dhoni’s late blitz.

It wasn’t just the fans but even ex-cricketers aren’t happy with the way Dhoni led his side vs Rajasthan. The majority are of the opinion that Dhoni should be batting up the order especially when the team requires more than 12 runs per over. All believe that if Dhoni can walk in early he can go on to control the run rate.

MS Dhoni being an experienced finisher of the game knows when to accelerate by going for the big hits. Already the CSK franchise was hit by huge blows as their star batsmen Suresh Raina and off-spinner Harbhajan Singh ruled themselves out on the grounds of personal reasons.

On the other hand, Rayudu who was ruled out due to a hamstring injury is all set to miss more games in the IPL this season. Which is why in the match against Rajasthan Royals we saw the man from Pune Ruturaj Gaikwad take his place in the playing XI.

Ambati Rayudu who was terribly missed in the match celebrated his 35th birthday in the Chennai Super Kings camp today ie. 23rd September. With three of CSK’s prominent players missing from the playing XI, MS Dhoni will need to up his think tank as they go ahead in the 13th edition of the IPL.
