One of the most rarest sights in the scoreboard was witnessed yesterday. Courtesy, the Central Districts and Canterbury sides in the Plunkett Shield 2018-19. The board read an unusual double 0-0 declarations and it happened to be one of the most memorable one.

Central stags on day 1 scored 302 for the loss of seven wickets. Incessant rain forced the game to be called off on second and third days. Adding another fifty runs on the fourth day, the side had no hesitation in declaring the innings at 352/7.

Desperate to get a result on the final day of the game, Canterbury side declared the innings which was then followed by Centrals by asking the former to play their second innings.

With a mammoth total of 353 to win in a possible 89 overs, Canterbury failed miserably in their attempts. Instability of the top order pushed the responsibility to the lower order to save the match. However, the side finally collapsed to 207 runs, thus handing over the victory to Centrals by 145 runs.
