It was a great day as Delhi and Mumbai registered comfortable wins in the first two-quarter finals of Vijay Hazare Trophy matches played at Bangalore. Delhi beat Haryana while Mumbai cruised to an easy 9 wicket win over Bihar.
Mumbai cruised to an easy 9 wicket win over Bihar in the first quarterfinals played at Just Cricket Academy Ground, Bangalore. Mumbai captain Sheryas Iyer opted to field after the winning toss. It was a great bowling display by Tushar Deshpande and SZ Mulani who created pressure on Bihar batting line-up with a consistent line. Deshpande picked 5 for 23 in 9 overs while SZ Mulani took 3 for 18 in 8.2 overs. Mumbai bowled out Bihar for just 69 runs in 28.2 overs.
Chasing the paltry total of 70 runs to win, Rohit Sharma looked in good touch before the West Indies One day international series. The dangerous right-handed batsman remained not out on 33 off 42 while Herwadkar was dismissed for 24. Mumbai won the match with ease by 9 wickets with 225 balls to spare.

Haryana versus Delhi
In the second quarterfinals, Haryana took on Delhi played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Delhi new ball bowlers of Khejroliya and Navdeep Saini reduced Haryana to 37 for 3. P Chandila and Bishnoi steadied the Haryana innings with some great batting. Bishnoi reached his half-century off 74 balls while Pramod Chandila reached his half-century off 79 balls. Both of them played with positive intent. Bishnoi and Chandila added 140 runs for the 4th wicket.
Kulwant Khejroliya dismissed Bishnoi, Chandila and Amit Mishra in 3 successive balls to pick up a hattrick. Delhi bowlers picked wickets at regular intervals bowling Haryana out for 229 in 49.1 overs. For Delhi, Kulwant Khejroliya took 6 for 31 in 10 overs while Navdeep Saini took 3 for 39 in 8.1 overs.
Chasing 230 runs to win, Delhi captain Gambhir led from the front with attacking stroke play putting pressure on Haryana bowlers. Unmukut Chand was dismissed for 15. Delhi scored 74 runs in the first 10 overs. Gambhir reached his half-century off 30 balls and continued to pile pressure on Haryana bowlers. Dhurv Shorey also contributed to the team success. Gambhir made his century off just 69 balls. Both Shorey and Gambhir added 118 runs for a 2nd wicket.

Shorey reached his half-century off 81 balls. Despite, Haryana picking 3 quick wickets, Nitish Rana played quickfire knock scoring 37 off 28 balls and helped Delhi won the match by 5 wickets with 64 balls to spare.

Haryana 229 in 49.1 overs ( Bishnoi 85, P Chandila 59, Kulwant Khejroliya 6/31, Navdeep Saini 3/39) by 5 wickets.
Jharkhand will take on Maharashtra in the third quarterfinals at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore while Andhra will face Hyderabad in 4th quarterfinals.
