Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin Tendulkar was roped in by Mumbai Indians for his base price of 20 lakhs in the IPL 2021 Auction. Mumbai Indians made some smart buys in the auction. Adam Milne and Nathan Culter-Nile are two of the smartest buys made by the franchise. Incidentally, Arjun was the last player to be sold in the IPL 2021 auction.

Arjun Tendulkar registered his name in the IPL 2021 auctions for the upcoming edition of the cash-rich league. The auctions held in Chennai on February 18 during the Test series between India and England. Incidentally, Arjun Tendulkar was not in the initial 20-members squad but was added later on after BCCI increased the squad size from 20 to 22. The moment came after Mumbai suffered two back-to-back defeats to start the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy campaign.

None of the other franchisees wanted to buy Arjun Tendulkar for the next season and in many ways, it was an easy buy for the son of batting legend Sachin Tendulkar. Arjun thus will seen playing for the franchise which is mentored by his father after spending enough time with the franchise from the outskirts. He was also a part of the group that travelled to the UAE for IPL 2020 and was seen sweating out in the nets as a practice bowler.
