A lot of former cricketers are taking some time to name their best XI of the recently concluded World Cup 2019. The official team was announced by the ICC yesterday. Even Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar announced his XI on his official mobile application today. Now, former Indian fast bowler Asish Nehra named his XI which included nearly five Indians in the side.
He decided to go with Rohit and Warner as his opening combination. Both of them played sensibly right at the top and scored over 600+ runs. Though they fell short of Sachin Tendulkar”s record of 673 runs, they made sure to do enough damage to the bowling figures of the opposition.

His middle order included Kane Williamson, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Bangladeshi star Shakib-Al-Hasan. All three of them were the respective number 3 for their teams and did their part well. At number six he decided to go with former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is termed as one of the best finishers of this generation.
It is to be noted that Nehra was a part of the World Cup 2011 winning squad and Dhoni”s calm and composed attitude in World tournaments tempted him to include as the skipper for the side.

He had no hesitation in including Ben Stokes as a part of the lower middle order. Stokes has been an automatic choice in the best XI of any player as he brought that stability into the English line – up. Nehra”s bowling line up included Chahal as the line spinner alongside the aggressive trio of Mitchell Starc, Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah
