The India vs. Pakistan match at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Kandy, Sri Lanka, on September 2, ended in a no-result due to persistent rain. During the game, the DJ played the ‘Ram Siya Ram’ song, creating a buzz on social media.

Despite rain delays, fans witnessed the full first innings. India scored 266 runs, thanks to Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya’s solid partnership after an early wicket loss, bringing the team to 66/4. Ishan made 82 off 81 balls, while Hardik contributed 87 off 90 balls, forming a crucial 138-run partnership to revive the Indian innings.

However, in the midst of the game, a rather unusual incident caught the eye of fans on social media. In the 34th over of the innings, the stadium DJ played ‘Ram Siya Ram,’ a track from the Indian movie ‘Adipurush.’

Team India and Pakistan each received a point as the match ended without a winner

Regarding the game, captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli faced difficulties as they were dismissed by fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi for low scores of 11 and 4, respectively. On the other hand, Shubman Gill appeared out of form, taking 32 balls to score just 10 runs.

Shreyas Iyer quickly managed two boundaries but couldn’t stay at the crease for long, departing with a score of 14 off nine balls. In contrast, Shaheen Shah Afridi secured four wickets, while Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf both took three wickets each during the innings.

Rain forced the match to be abandoned after India put up a total of 266 runs in their first innings. Pakistan’s standout bowler in the game was Shaheen Afridi, who secured an impressive four-wicket haul.

With the match resulting in a no-result, both teams earned a point each. Pakistan secured their spot in the Super Four. Meanwhile, India is set to face Nepal on Monday, September 4, at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, and they must win this match to advance further.
