Ahead of the fourth edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 League, Bangla Tigers named the former cricketer of South Africa Lance Klusener as the team director. They had finished third in their maiden appearance last season which won by Dwayne Bravo-led Maratha Arabians.
Playing for South Africa, Lance Klusener scored 1,906 runs in 49 Tests for South Africa besides picking 80 wickets. In ODIs, he played 171 matches in which he amassed 3576 runs and scalped 192 wickets. He garnered a huge reputation for his match-finishing skills.

Speaking on Klusener’s appointment, Bangla Tigers chairman Mohammad Yasin Chowdhury said that he hopes the former South African cricketer’s playing career and experience as a coach will guide the Abu Dhabi T10 League side in the right direction.
“Bangla Tigers are working to form a strong team in this year’s tournament as well. Former South African cricketer and well-known coach Lance Klusener has joined the team as part of this,” the chairman of Bangla Tigers said.
”I believe that his colourful cricket career and experience as a coach will give the right direction to the Bengal Tigers,” Bangla Tigers official website quoted Chowdhury as saying.
Currently, Lance Klusener is serving Afghanistan as the head coach of the team across the formats. Before Afghanistan, he served as batting coach for Zimbabwe. Besides that, he has been part of many franchise-based tournaments.

The fourth edition of Abu Dhabi T10 League is scheduled to start on November 19th and final is scheduled on 26th of the same month. It would be interesting to see if there is any change in the scheduled dates with the outbreak of COVID19.
