The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian women’s ODI and T20I squads for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh. They will be playing three T20I and as many ODI matches, starting from July 9, 2023. Harmanpreet Kaur will be leading the Indian team on the tour, with Smriti Mandhana her deputy.
Priya Punia, the top-order batter will be making a comeback to the Indian ODI squad. She last played an ODI against South Africa at Lucknow in March 2021. Meanwhile, the likes of Renuka Singh and Richa Ghosh are not part of the squad. It is reported that Renuka Singh is injured and will be missing the entire series. However, there has been no official confirmation from the BCCI.
Shreyanka Patil too has failed to make it to the squad. Patil was impressive during the recently concluded emerging Asia Cup in Hong Kong. The reason behind Richa Ghosh and Shreyas Patil’s exclusion is unclear. There has been no communication regarding their omission from the Indian selectors.

India’s Tour of Bangladesh, 2023 Schedule
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announced the schedule of the tour. Team India’s tour of Bangladesh will kick off on Sunday, July 9 with the first T20I at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. They are scheduled to play three T20Is and three ODI matches on the tour. The ODI series kicks off on Sunday, July 16. Meanwhile, all the ODIs and T20Is will take place at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
