Former England fast bowler Dominic Cork believes that Ben Stokes will soon become one of the greatest players ever produced by England. His statement comes out after Stokes’s struck a magnificent 170 against West Indies in the 2nd Test at Old Trafford. He batted for more than 8 hours facing 487 balls which is also his slowest century.

The all-rounder was the same man who played a crucial of 84 in the final of the 2019 World cup against New Zealand. His match-winning knock helped England lift their first-ever World Cup trophy.

Dominic Cork said that Ben Stokes is successful since a long while because of the work ethic he follows. His attitude towards the game has always been about getting better at every aspect of the game.

“I genuinely think he can get better because of his work ethic. He wants to bat, he wants to bowl, he wants to work on his game, wants to get better,” Cork said on Sky Sports show The Cricket Debate.

Talking further, Cork also talked about how Ben Stokes is not just a quality batsman but a quality bowler as well. Since Stokes works a lot on his bowling too and touted him one of the best in the world.

“I know he works a hell of a lot on his bowling as well. I just see this man not becoming only the best in the world but one of the best we have had ever. That’s how highly I rate him.” added Dominic Cork.

Ben Stokes has had a few rough years leading into the 2019 World Cup. He was involved in a late-night street brawl in Bristol in 2017. The incident also involved Alex Hales and as a result, was stripped of the vice captainship for the Test team. He was declared not guilty by the court and Stokes soon returned to play for England.
