
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar recently took part in a blind T20 bowler ranking challenge on the YouTube podcast Talk with Manvendra, where he had to rank six bowlers without knowing all the names beforehand. The first name revealed was India’s star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, whom he immediately placed at the top spot.
Next came Afghanistan and Gujarat Titans (GT) spinner Rashid Khan, who secured the third position in his list. India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj appeared later in the sequence and was given the fifth spot, while Australian left-arm quick Mitchell Starc was ranked fourth. Pat Cummins followed in sixth place.
The final name to be revealed was his RCB teammate, Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood, who earned the second position on Bhuvneshwar’s rankings.

RCB Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar Describes Top Cricketers In A Single Word
In the same conversation, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was challenged to sum up various cricketers using just one word. He started with former India captain MS Dhoni, calling him “calm and composed.” For Rohit Sharma, his pick was “Hitman,” while he described current India head coach Gautam Gambhir as “motivated.”
Speaking about India’s Test captain Shubman Gill, the 35-year-old chose the phrase “young gun.” His Uttar Pradesh teammate Yash Dayal was tagged as “talented,” Pat Cummins received the description “very good bowler,” and for Rishabh Pant, he simply said “Spidey.”
Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s most recent appearance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) came in 2025 with RCB, where the team enjoyed a landmark season by securing their first-ever title since the league’s launch in 2008, led by Rajat Patidar.
The veteran pacer delivered a solid performance, claiming 17 wickets in 14 matches at an average of 28.41, with a strike rate of 18.3 and an economy rate of 9.28. Across his IPL career, he has featured in 190 games, bagging 198 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls.
