The former spinner of Australia, Brad Hogg, who plied his trade with Kolkata Knight Riders has chosen his all-time best IPL XI with a few unexpected names. He chose Virat Kohli as skipper and gave quite a few surprises.

Brad Hogg named David Warner as the opener of the team alongside Mumbai Indians’ captain Rohit Sharma. The duo has been frequent run-scorers for their respective teams and carries all the burden on their shoulders. Following them, Hogg named Virat Kohli at number 3.

Surprisingly, he further named Virat Kohli as the captain of the team. It was shocking for the fans, as Kohli never lifted the trophy for Royal Challengers Bangalore and failed to push his side into playoffs on numerous occasions. They were also finished on the bottom of the points table on a couple of occasions.

However, Virat Kohli has got the most number of runs in IPL history. At number 4, Brad Hogg chose Rishabh Pant of Delhi Capitals. He has been a scintillating performer for Delhi since his recruitment in the team. Following him, Hogg named AB de Villiers at number 5 while MS Dhoni is named as the wicket-keeper of the team.

In the bowling category, Brad Hogg named two spinner and three Indian fast bowlers. Sunil Narine of Kolkata Knight Riders and Rashid Khan of Sunrisers Hyderabad will not only look after spin section but also finishes the foreign quota in the playing XI.

Brad Hogg’s all-time best XI finished Munaf Patel and Jaspirt Bumrah joining with Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Finishing the task, he named Suresh Raina, Lasith Malinga and Dale Steyn as unfortunate to miss out, as he got no further choice.
