Veteran India cricketer Dinesh Karthik has left everyone amused with his style quotient in the commentary box. The ‘broadcaster’ Karthik is an absolute fan-favourite for his one-liners and on-pot analysis.
While in the commentary box during the 3rd Headingley Test, fellow pundits Michael Atherton and Michael Holding took jibes at the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman for his extravagant sense of style and the variety of outfits Karthik had got with him to the UK.
Impressed with Dinesh Karthik’s style quotient, expert Michael Holding narrated an incident involving Karthik which happened on the previous day during the Headingley Test. Speaking to Sky Sports, Holding said:
“When we were walking towards the car yesterday afternoon, DK and myself, a gentleman came up to DK and said Can I get a selfie with the world’s best-dressed man?

Moreover, Mike Atherton breaks down all of the uber-cool ensembles adorned by DK as the former England cricketer said, “Well, Mikey (Holding), DK is leaving us at the end of this Test match (Leeds Test), so this is a very gentle look at the ‘Giorgio Armani of broadcasting’ who arrived at Heathrow with 17 suitcases and got about 30 pairs of sunglasses with him this summer. However, I do love some of his combos like the one in Nottingham on the scooter but the jumpers need some work.”
Dinesh Karthik was quick with his comeback saying, “And then we also establish the fact that you (Mike Atherton) speaking about fashion and a two-year-old speaking about astrophysics don’t go well together.”
