Cheteshwar Pujara signs contract for Nottinghamshire

Indian batsman Cheteshwar Pujara will join Nottinghamshire later this month as cover for Australian fast bowler James Pattinson who joins up with his national side, Australia for the Champions Trophy 2017.

Cheteshwar Pujara did not find any takers in this IPL seasonĀ & was unsold at his base price of Rs. 50 lakh in the auctions held this year.

Cheteshwar Pujara will join the County side in mid-May & be available for four matches ā€“ two against Gloustershire, as well as against Glamorgan & DerbyshireĀ at the SSE Swalec and Trent Bridge respectively.

Pujara has previously had two County cricket stints playing for Derbyshire & Yorkshire have yielded 483 runs withĀ an average of 54.

In first class cricket, Cheteshwar Pujara having scored close to 12,000 runs from 145 matches, including 38 centuries.

Pujara has previously played for Yorkshire and Derbyshire

Cheteshwar Pujara close to 3800 runs in 48 Tests & scored at an average of over 51, with 11 centuries.
