Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have retained Ravindra Jadeja and Ambati Rayudu despite a controversial 2022 season. However, the franchise was riddled with controversy in their 2022 campaign with Jadeja leaving captaincy mid-season and Ambati Rayudu announcing a shock retirement on Twitter as well, only to reverse it soon after.
However, Ravindra Jadeja had a poor time in the Indian Premier League in 2022 with the Chennai Super Kings. The player was first announced as the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, but things did not go well for him or for the franchise for that matter after they lost a series of games at the start of the season. And, seeing that,Ā Jadeja ended up relinquishing his captaincy duties and returned it to Dhoni and he gave a bombshell interview that CSK were preparing for Jadeja to take over as captain.
Meanwhile, he took to Twitter and shared the news of staying at CSK. He wrote, “Everything is fineš #RESTART”

However, Ravindra Jadeja played under MS Dhoni for a few matches but was injured in the last leg of the IPL 2022 due to a rib injury, which once again sparked rumours of a possible rift between the players.
Notably, Chennai Super Kings will go into the auction with Rs 20.45 crores in hand. Both Jadeja and Rayudu have been with the Chennai Super Kings, but things seemed to go haywire in the last season when CSK failed to do well under Jadeja. The team started doing well under MS Dhoni but by that time, it was too late for a comeback into the 10-team tournament as well.
