Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Shivam Dube has reportedly purchased real estate in Mumbai valued higher than the price Punjab Kings (PBKS) paid for Shreyas Iyer at the IPL 2025 mega auction. Iyer was picked up by PBKS for a whopping ₹26.75 crore ahead of the upcoming season.

As per a report by Business Today, Dube bought two apartments in Andheri West, Mumbai, with a combined value of ₹27.50 crore, based on property registration documents accessed by Square Yards. The transactions were finalized in June 2025. The two units are located on consecutive floors of the DLH Enclave in Oshiwara.

Together, the apartments span 4,200 sq ft of carpet area and include an additional 3,800 sq ft of terrace space. Additionally, both apartments come with three parking spots. The total stamp duty paid is reported to be ₹1.65 crore, along with registration fees of ₹30,000.

Shivam Dube represents Mumbai in domestic cricket and has played for India in four ODIs and 35 T20Is. He was also part of the Indian squad that won the 2024 T20 World Cup.

PBKS Reach IPL 2025 Final Under Shreyas Iyer’s Leadership

Shreyas Iyer lived up to expectations, making PBKS’s hefty investment in him worthwhile. Under his captaincy, the team broke their long playoff drought, reaching the knockout stage for the first time since 2014 and advancing to only their second IPL final.

PBKS were one of the most consistent sides in the tournament, topping the league table with nine wins and 19 points from 14 games. Although they stumbled against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Qualifier 1, they bounced back with a strong win over Mumbai Indians (MI) in Qualifier 2.

However, their title hopes were dashed in the final, where they once again lost to RCB, who went on to lift the trophy. Despite the disappointment, Iyer impressed both as a captain and a batter. He had his best IPL season yet, scoring 604 runs in 17 matches at an average of 50.33 and a strike rate of 175.07, including six fifties and a top score of 97*.
