Prior to the game, Indian skipper Virat Kohli addressed the media and answered their questions.
Kohli said that there”s nothing different for this game and the dressing room feelings have been the same just treating Pakistan as another opposition. “We have literally discussed nothing different. The atmosphere in the dressing room is the same. No one game is more important or more special than the other”, he said.

Kohli also stressed that they wouldn”t pick their playing XI depending upon the line – up of the opposition but dependent only on the conditions. He mentioned that if conditions are better to include a pacer then they will certainly do it. It is to be noted if that happens, there is a possibility that either Kuldeep Yadav or Chahal will have to sit down to make way for Shami (probably).

Virat Kohli said that there isn”t any special focus just on tackling Amir who displayed his A game against Australia a few days back. The Pakistani left-arm pacer picked his maiden five-wicket haul in the game and the side has been so confident on his progress in recent times.
Speaking on the same, Kohli said “I don’t want to say anything for TRP. I had spoken about Rabada as well earlier, I just see the ball, whether it’s red or white, it’s not a contest between me and Amir, these are not things that come to mind.”
