Danish Kaneria Hits Out At PCB, Alleges Them Of Discriminating Based On Religion

Former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria has slammed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for not moving fast with his and accused them of discriminating on the basis of religion. Notably, Kaneria is only the second Hindu to play for Pakistan after his maternal uncle Anil Dalpat.

Previously, in 2016, Danish Kaneria had claimed that he was being mistreated because of his religion. The ex-leg-spinner, who took 261 wickets for Pakistan in 61 Tests, said he was living a life which resembled a house arrest. Kaneria was banned for life for a spot-fixing scandal.

Last year, he sparked a new debate urging PCB to look into case diligently. But it seems likely the governing body has not done anything in these few months and Danish Kaneria once again took a jibe at PCB for discriminating against him in a couple of tweets.

“Pakistan cricket Board sleeping in my case Bec I am Proud Hindu Jai Ambey, Bhagwan have mercy on me hope Imran Khan the PM of Pakistan will help I request , sub ka hoga accept why not mine,” Kaneria wrote in his first tweet.

His next tweet read, “I will share soon the letter to pcb and reply of pcb I am citizen of Pakistan I just ask them to rehabilitate me they are saying No why??????????? I can’t play atleast do coaching.”

Danish Kaneria’s career graph witnessed a downfall when he provoked his Sussex teammates to fix a match. Kaneria had alleged that while everyone has moved on from his past, he is being reprimanded solely for being a Hindu.
