The episode of the former “Australian leadership” group has been one the most fascinating one till date. After being suspended for a year from International cricket, the duo of Smith and Warner represented several leagues such as Global T20 league (Canada), CPL, BBL and also played club cricket for their respective sides in Australia.
Though the duo wasn”t given a chance to represent in the previous edition of Indian Premier League, they made sure to announce their return in a professional manner to the side.
David Warner literally decimated the opposition with his powerful boundaries with a blend of quick singles and double. On the other hand, Steve Smith hasn”t been at his best at the start of the season. However, after getting captaincy reigns he made sure to lead his side to victory with his responsible knocks.
Both the players have now left their respective camps to be prepared for the World cup. Warner piled up 692 runs in this season with a century and eight half-centuries.
Smith added 319 runs to his bag thus playing his part in the cash-rich league. It is to be noted that both of them have been selected for the World Cup and their addition will certainly boost the team spirits who already won series against India and Pakistan.
David Warner and Steve Smith thanked their fans and franchise for supporting their teams before leaving the league. On their Instagram handle, they expressed their gratitude for their endless love and the cheers without which they might not have created an impact.
