Prior to the second phase of this year’s Indian Premier League 2021, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) squad has started their hard practice under lights during their recent practice session. The players played a match along with the exercise under lights, and it was the captain MS Dhoni who stole the limelight once again.

In a video shared by the CSK team on their social media accounts, the former Team India captain can be seen smashing sixes on several occasions with his signature style. CSK speedster Deepak Chahar, who was facing Dhoni’s onslaught, spoke about his ability to hit massive sixes.

Chahar stated that the bowlers were under pressure during the match as MS Dhoni and the batters made it difficult for them with their power-hitting as well. However, the batting team eventually won the game with ease.

“Mahi bhai is hitting really long sixes. Not just Mahi bhai, but everyone is hitting big sixes. All the bowlers are under pressure,” said Deepak Chahar.

Meanwhile, CSK batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad was also seen in the video. While speaking about Dhoni’s form with the bat, he said that the veteran is in great touch heading into the second phase of IPL 2021 as well.

“I think Mahi bhai is batting really well. This is the best of what I have seen of him in three years,” said the CSK batter.

However, after having a rather forgettable season last year, where they failed to qualify for the playoffs for the very first time, they have bounced back quite well and placed second in the points table before the league got suspended due t COVID-19. And, they will try to keep their momentum on as well.
