The Chennai Super Kings lost their third consecutive match as they failed to defend 134 runs against the Punjab Kings. However, despite the loss, Chennai Super Kings’ contingent and fans were elated as Deepak Chahar proposed to his girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj after the match.

In an Instagram post, Deepak Chahar shared a couple of pictures with his fans. He captioned them as, “Picture says it all 💍 😘😘 . Need all your blessings #taken”

As per a report in Dainik Jagran, the all-rounder had planned to propose Jaya during the playoffs of the Indian Premier League 2021. However, after consulting the skipper MS Dhoni about the plan, Deepak decided to prepone. The report added, that MS Dhoni advised the all-rounder to propose Jaya before the playoffs.

Deepak Chahar and his girlfriend Jaya Bharadwaj have been dating for a long time. The all-rounder walked to the stands after the end of the play, to propose to his girlfriend. The Chennai Super Kings’ official handle, posted a video of the couple, captioning, “She said yesssss.! Congratulations Cherry.! Stay Merry.!”

That’s part and parcel in leagues like these: MS Dhoni on CSK’s consecutive losses

The Chennai Super Kings seem to have lost momentum in the business end of the Indian Premier League 2021. They have lost their last three matches in the league, but have managed to somehow hold on to their second spot in the table.

Reflecting on the consecutive losses, skipper MS Dhoni said that it’s part and parcel of the sport. He stated:

“We had a few bad games 2 out of 3 and one we felt like we could have a comeback and that’s part and parcel in leagues like these, you have to be at your best. Motivation is not a factor, the guys are highly motivated and maybe we need to tune up slightly as to what needs to be done and also a few tosses if they had gone our way. It would have looked worse winning toss and batting on that wicket and I felt the wicket changed a bit, it was a bit challenging but it was a good wicket.”
