On Saturday, Indian all-rounder Deepak Chahar became the most expensive signing by the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL Auction history. Chennai owners paid a hefty amount of 14 crores to re-sign Deepak in the mega-auctions.
With this, Deepak also became the most expensive Indian bowler ever in the IPL Auctions. CSK competed hard with Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rajasthan Royals to get the 29-year old back in the team.
Deepak’s sister, Malti, expressed her happiness after the auctions, on Instagram. She expressed her joy at Deepak’s return to Chennai Super Kings and stated that his brother deserved the money he is receiving.

Malti Chahar is an accomplished model with a huge social media following. She was crowned Miss India Earth in 2009. She was also the second runner-up in Femina Miss India Delhi 2014.
Deepak Chahar’s fiancée Reacts To The Huge deal
Jaya Bhardwaj, Deepak’s fiancée, was also ecstatic after watching the mega- auction. After Deepak landed the 14-crore deal, she shared some Instagram stories for him. “And the yellow love remains. Chennai Super Kings was extremely special and continues to be.”, she wrote.
Jaya added that she spent the entire day on FaceTime with Deepak to celebrate the occasion. She praised her fiancé’s dedication to work. “Since Deepak is travelling, we also did a family conference call to wish him and celebrate the moment with him. It feels amazing and I am proud of him. I have seen his hard work and he deserves everything good. CSK is very very special to both of us”, Jaya said as quoted by Times of India.
Deepak Chahar had proposed to Jaya in October 2021 after CSK’s last league match of IPL 2021. Jaya works for a corporate company in Delhi. She tries to remain out of the spotlight as much as possible and does not have a large social media presence. She is the younger sister of Siddharth Bharadwaj, the MTV Splitsvilla Season 2 winner who is a model and a VJ.
