The Mumbai Indians pulled off another brilliant bowling performance in the 2023 Women’s Premier League. They bowled the Delhi Capitals out for a paltry 105 runs in Match 7 of the league on Wednesday, March 9 at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Their bowling unit has so far been one of the bests in the tournament.

Mumbai Indians were asked to bat first by the Delhi Capitals. They struck an early blow as opener Shafali Verma was dismissed for just two runs. Delhi kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and were reduced to 31 runs for three wickets down. Meg Lanning and Jemimah Rodrigues put up a fifty-run stand for the fourth wicket.

However, Saika Ishaque provided the Mumbai Indians the breakthrough dismissing Jemimah Rodrigues. She also sent Meg Lanning back into the hut for 43 runs off 41 deliveries. The Mumbai Indians bowlers then ran through the Delhi batting attack. Saika Isaque, Issy Wong, and Hayley Matthews took three wickets each in the innings.
