On a day when Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United, Team India’s top-order united to put a fightback against England bowlers at Leeds. Day 3 of the third Test belonged to India and Cristiano Ronaldo fans. Meanwhile, Michael Vaughan has found it tough to rate both the events on a memorable Friday for Sports fans. Meanwhile, India ended day 3 on 215 /2 with Rohit Sharma (59) Cheteshhwar Pujara (91*) and Virat Kohli (45*) put together a great batting effort to keep India in the Test match.
Talking to Cricbuzz after the day’s play, Michael Vaughan that he was not sure which one of the two events was a bigger shock to the sporting world. Vaughan called the comeback “fantastic” and hailed the contributions of the openers and Cheteshwar Pujara.
“Yeah, I am not too sure what’s the bigger shock – whether Ronaldo starting for United instead of City or India batting a whole day out and taking it to Day 4. I’ll deal with the football first – delighted Ronaldo is back at Manchester United, there’s a real buzz that he’s back in the Premier League… India today, (just) fantastic. Because the ball did a bit, it was seaming around… That opening partnership played with great substance and Pujara, I don’t know what he’s been drinking but he came out playing! He found is mojo and that was great to see” said Vaughan.
