Shardul Thakur is struggling from hamstring problems and is not fit to compete in the 2nd Test match. Meanwhile former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer has made a hilarious remark on Shardul’s absence from the lord’s Test.

Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur performed brilliantly for India in a first Test match at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. In the first innings, Shardul bagged 2 crucial wickets for 42 runs. Shardul continued his good run and picked another two wickets to take the tally to four.

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif feels that if Shardul won’t be available to play at Lord’s Kohli-led side will be in trouble. He reasoned India will lack Balance in the squad in the absence of a fast-bowling all-rounder.
Talking at a media interaction arranged by Sony, Mohammad Kaif asserted:
“I think if Shardul doesn’t play then Kohli will be in trouble because he wants to have fast bowling all-rounders and he doesn’t have many. There is no Hardik Pandya, there is no others who can bowl fast and bat. So then, eventually you might see Ashwin coming in or you see an extra fast bowler. If Ishant is fit, he comes in automatically, otherwise, Umesh Yadav can play. But it will be tough for Kohli to have the same balance as what he had in that last game if Shardul doesn’t play.”
