Indian skipper Virat Kohli is going through a rough phase with the bat. However, that did not deter him from getting into an altercation with the veteran England pacer James Anderson. Anderson has already dismissed Kohli once in the series and has came very close to dismissing him a few more times. Meanwhile, the response from Kohli was due to a few words which Anderson said to Jasprit Bumrah when he bowled a few bouncers to him during the England innings.
The incident happened during the 17th over of the Indian second innings. Kohli walked close to Anderson to speak a few words when the latter was returning back to his bowling mark. While Kohli did not mince his words, Anderson was wise not to respond.

Meanwhile, Kohli’s reaction evoked a response from Stuart Broad, Anderson’s bowling partner who is not a part of the Test match. He said that he loved the aggression but thought Kohli might get into danger due to the language that he used. What Kohli said was clearly audible on the stump mike.
Virat Kohli Out For 20 In 2nd Innings
The Lord’s honours board suggests it’s as close to Jimmy’s backyard as Jimmy’s actual backyard. Love the fire but that language will have him in trouble

Meanwhile, To India’s ill fate, Virat Kohli lost his wicket just a few moments after this interaction with Anderson. Sam Curran got the ball to move away taking the edge of Kohli’s bat with Jos Buttler completing an easy catch.
Huge moment in the game as Sam Curran finds Kohli’s edge with one seaming away.

India headed into the lunch session with three big wickets down including that of skipper Virat Kohli. India have a lead of just 29 runs as Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have a tough task of extending India’s lead in the two sessions after lunch.
India’s record at Lord’s is not great as well. They have won just two matches at this venue lost 12 and drawn four games. The victories came in 1986 and 2014.
