England take on India in a five-match Test series starting with the first Test in Trent Bridge from August 4. The series will also kickstart the second edition of the ICC World Test Championship. India lost to New Zealand in the final of the first WTC. The Men in Blue have lost all their previous three-Test series in England, the latest of which came in 2018. India lost the five-match Test series 1-4. England then came to India earlier this year. and lost 1-3 in a four-match Test series. That also ended their WTC final hopes as well.

While India will have a full-strength squad, England will miss the services of all-rounder Ben Stokes, who has taken an indefinite break from cricket. Despite Stokes’ absence the likes of Joe Root, James Anderson, Stuart Broad and Jos Buttler makes the side a string one at home.
