England Women will be touring the Caribbean for a white ball series, starting on December 4 and will run until December 23. The three ODIS are part of the ICC Women’s Championship; therefore, these games are essential for both teams.
Earlier this year, England were runners-up in New Zealand’s World Cup and whitewashed in their last ODI series against India. They failed to have a podium finish in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.Â
Given that the T20 World Cup is in 2023 in South Africa, the five T20IS will be good practice for both teams as they can start building up to the marquee event. All the games on this tour will be played in Antigua. This series will see the return of English skipper Heather Knight who was out due to surgery.
Both teams have several world-class players in their squads and will look to dominate the series. West Indies, earlier this year beaten the runners-up England in their world cup fixture but shouldn’t make the mistake of undermining them in the coming series.
