Chennai Super Kings have been in the headlines since the start of IPL 2020 for all the wrong reasons. The three-time IPL champions have failed to live up to the expectations. All hell broke loose after CSK’s defeat against Rajasthan Royals as the fans took to social media demanding skipper MS Dhoni and head coach Stephen Fleming to step aside ahead of the next edition.
Rajasthan Royals choked their batting after asked to bowl first, which no longer looks like it was. The spinners – Rahul Tewatia and Shreya Gopal bowled extremely well in the middle backed by the incredible Jofra Archer. Ravindra Jadeja was the only batsman to show some intent, remaining unbeaten on 35 to help Chennai post 125 runs on the board.
It was a cakewalk for Rajasthan during the chase. After reeling at 28 for three, Jos Buttler and Steve Smith added 98 runs for the fourth wicket playing out Chennai bowlers to sail past the target. Buttler remained unbeaten on 70 runs while Smith chipped in with 26 to earn two crucial points.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni made some controversial statements during the post-match presentation ceremony. He said that the management has not seen sparks in youngsters in the squad to push them ahead of the senior pros.
“There were few chances to the youngsters. Maybe we didn’t see the kind of spark that they could’ve given us to say okay you know push the experienced guys and make space for them,” MS Dhoni said.
The comment attracted a lot of criticisms from all quarters including the fans. They demanded MS Dhoni and Stephen Fleming to resign ahead of the next season and backed for new management to revive Chennai Super Kings performance.

Both Fleming n MSD shd take this pathetic performance and gracefully move away and give the youngsters an opportunity to take the yellow army forward. Retain Jaddu, sam curran only. REST ALL can be given a good farewell…Good luck CSK for 2021..A fresh beginning with new hopes..

MSD gave everything to the team and emotionally attached. Hence, I don't want to see him an bad exit. He should better quit from CSK and relax with his family. Meanwhile CSK was in the hands of worst management who does business not cricket. A change in management needed badly.
