Rajasthan Royals got off to a brilliant start as Jofra Archer knocked off Prithvi Shaw in the first ball of the game at the Dubai International Stadium. Archer has been brilliant with the ball in the ongoing IPL 2020 and he kept up with his excellent form against Delhi Capitals.

Delhi went with history as they opted to bat first winning the toss. Teams batting first have won on most of the occasions and Shreyas Iyer didn’t hesitate to bat. But they failed to get the desired start as Jofra Archer cleaned up Prithvi Shaw off the first ball.

Meanwhile, it is the same old problem that’s been haunting him since the 2018 U-19 World Cup. The back foot was rooted and didn’t come in line with the delivery. Jofra Archer got the ball moving at a decent pace and the lack of feet movement meant Prithvi Shaw played outside the line.

It takes the inside edge and crashed into the middle stump. Jofra Archer does the Bihu dance in celebrations, perhaps he’s learnt it from Riyan Parag, which was in the display after emphatic win over Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After the early blow, Delhi Capitals were in dire need of a big partnership two senior players – Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane. But Jofra Archer looked in terrific form and removed Rahane to have Delhi at 10 for two in just 2.3 overs.

Since then, Dhawan and skipper Shreyas Iyer looked in good touch and will look to play a big and guide Delhi Capitals to a challenging total.
