Afghanistan’s legend in the making Rashid Khan is known for his skidding leg-spinning deliveries. Moreover, he is touted to be one of the best leg spinners ever to have emerged in international cricket in recent times. Rashid Khan has troubled top-class batsman of world cricket which is why he’s out and all a very important player.
Other than his bowling, Rashid is also a gun fielder as we have seen him take some sensational catches for the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the past. But more than his fielding, Rashid Khan is also known to be a finisher with the bat as in the past we have seen him finish off matches for his Big Bash League team Adelaide Strikers. He is a typical unorthodox striker of the ball as some of the shots he plays are just unbelievable to watch.
Off late he has been trying a lot many unorthodox shots even in the Indian Premier League. Talking about yesterday’s match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad where Chennai defeated Hyderabad by 20 runs a funny incident happened with Rashid Khan. The latter from Afghanistan was trying to stay on strike as much as possible as Sunrisers Hyderabad were on the verge of losing the game as they didn’t have many wickets in hand.
Rashid Khan dismissed twice off the same delivery
That is when something really very strange happened as Rashid Khan who was fearlessly going after the Chennai Super Kings bowlers were trying a semi helicopter on almost every delivery he was facing. It was 19th over of the match with Shardul Thakur bowling to Rashid Khan.
Thakur bowled a fullish delivery to which, Rashid went on his lap to slog it over long-on only to find the fielder at the boundary rope, But not many noticed it earlier that while playing the shot Rashid had smashed the stumps behind him which is why he was ruled out hit wicket.
This took social media by a storm as Twitterati went on to troll Rashid to be the first batsman to have been dismissed twice on the delivery.
Let’s take a look at some of the tweets people put out after watching Rashid’s hilarious shot:
