India skipper Virat Kohli took to his social media to wish each one of his fans a very happy Diwali but this hasnt really gone too well with some of the people on social media as many regarded Virat Kohli as a hypocrite for asking people not to burst crackers when he himself celebrated his birthday using firecrackers.
It all started back in Dubai when a night before the eliminator, the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s entire team decided to celebrate Virat Kohli’s birthday in a private yacht. A day later videos of the apparent celebration were uploaded on RCB’s social media accounts. Many memes and questions surfaced all over as to why did the men in red celebrate just a few hours before the all-important eliminator.

Virat Kohli Wishes His Fans ‘Happy Diwali’
Virat Kohli posted a video message on his social media handle wishing his fans a very happy and prosperous Diwali. In which he also asked his fans not to burst crackers as they aren’t environmental friendly. Though there was no other intent in his wish, it hasnt really gone well with the people as he’s now been termed as a hypocrite.
“A very happy Diwali from me to you and your families. May God bless you with peace, prosperity and happiness this Diwali,” Kohli said.
“Please remember do not burst crackers, protect the environment and have fun at home with your loved ones with a simple Diya and sweets on this auspicious occasion. God bless you all. Take care,” Virat Kohli added.
Though the firecrackers being burst in the UAE may not be related to Virat Kohli’s birthday celebrations as fireworks is an everyday regime on the banks of Atlantis and Burj Al Arab which is why those fireworks might just not be related to his birthday celebrations since the fireworks happened at the very same time.

it is the tradition to burst fire crackers after winning the trophy in IPL. To save the environment he hasn't won the IPL trophy yet. Truly a legend 🙏 https://t.co/3PRvhep2mt
