Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma will start a new journey as coach and captain trying to get together a strong squad for the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. It all starts with the T20I series against New Zealand at home. The three-match T20I series will be played between November 17-21. Meanwhile, former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan has said that the series will be a test for the duo as eyes will be on them to stage a turnaround after India’s early exit from the T20 World Cup.

Talking to Cricbuzz, Zaheer Khan said that since India made an early exit from the T20 World Cup eyes will be on Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma on how they respond to the series against New Zealand. The Kiwis beat India in the league game. It was that defeat that confirmed India’s ouster from the tournament.

The series in many ways will be one where both teams will look to take revenge on each other. India beat New Zealand 5-0 at home in the last T20I series between both sides. New Zealand, meanwhile beat India in the World Test Championship final and in the T20 World Cup as well.

The three-match T20I series will be followed by a two-match Test series in Kanpur and Mumbai.
