“Go And Enjoy Yourself, No Need To Prove Anything” – Kapil Dev’s Advice For Arjun Tendulkar

Former India cricketer Kapil Dev has shared a piece of advice for all-rounder Arjun Tendulkar. He expressed that the youngster should enjoy playing the game and not think about proving anything.

Arjun was picked by the Mumbai Indians at the Indian Premier League 2022 auctions for ₹30 lakhs. However, he could not get a game in the whole tournament, despite Mumbai Indians’ disastrous performance. The Rohit Sharma-led team finished at the bottom of the table.

To find their perfect XI, the Mumbai Indians played several youngsters, barring Arjun Tendulkar. Recently, their bowling coach Shane Bond opened up about Arjun not getting an opportunity. He expressed that the all-rounder still needs to work on a few areas.

Now, former India cricketer Kapil Dev has questioned the talk regarding Arjun Tendulkar. He expressed that people should let Arjun play his own game and avoid comparisons with his father and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.

“Why is everyone talking about him? Because he is Sachin Tendulkar’s son. Let him play his own cricket and do not compare him with Sachin. To have a Tendulkar name has perks and disadvantages as well. Don Bradman’s son changed his name because he could not soak that kind of pressure. He removed the surname Bradman because everyone expected him to turn out like his father,” said Kapil Dev to Uncut.
