Grant Bradburn resigned as Pakistan’s high-performance coach on Monday, January 10 ending his ties with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He has held various senior roles with the Pakistan team for more than five years, since 2018.
Grant Bradburn was appointed as Pakistan’s fielding coach from 2018 to 2020. He also had a stint at their National Cricket Academy. In 2023, he was appointed as Pakistan’s head coach, however, the coaching set-up was overhauled following the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India. Team Director Mickey Arthur and Bradburn were both asked to work at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. Instead of them, Mohammed Hafeez went to Australia for the Test series as the Team Director.
“Time to close the amazing chapter that has been Pakistan cricket. Three roles over five years, I am proud of what’s been achieved and grateful to have worked with so many outstanding players, coaches and staff. Wishing the teams, staff and everyone at Pakistan Cricket continued success and growth,” Bradburn wrote on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter).

Grant Bradburn to join Glamorgan as head coach
Grant Bradburn will be joining Glamorgan as the head coach next month on a three-year contract. He will officially join the role on February 1. He will take over the responsibilities from former County Championship head coach Matthew Maynard and limited-overs leader Mark Alleyne. Talking about the new role, Grant Bradburn said,
“To have the opportunity to coach Glamorgan is a huge honour and a privilege. My simple aim is to create a winning environment with an awesome culture. Together we will quickly identify a brand of cricket in all formats that most importantly inspires the players and, in turn, attracts everyone within the club to be excited and proud of our teams.”
“With international experience and a passion for developing players and staff, I am looking forward to immersing myself alongside our Glamorgan network of coaches to develop quality players within our programmes,” said Bradburn.
“I’m not taking this role expecting just to compete in the County Championship. I will bring a desire for Glamorgan to be a contender in all formats and am looking forward to meeting everyone at the club soon. I will bring fresh eyes which I believe will be healthy for the club,” he further said.
