Greg Chappell has placed Virat Kohli in his most exciting Test team ahead of some giants of Indian cricket. The former Australia batsman had no place for the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in his unique Test XI. Usually, Tendulkar and Dravid are part of every Test XI but Chappell opted to separate Kohli ahead of them.

Australia has been in awe of Kohli ever since the 2011 Border-Gavaskar trophy. Kohli announced his arrival in Test cricket with an emphatic century at the Adelaide Oval when no other batsman could get going. Since then Kohli has evolved and become one of the all-time great batsmen in every format.

Especially after becoming the Test skipper of India, Kohli has been unstoppable with the bat as he has constantly notched up centuries and double centuries. Chappell went for the ‘Showman’ Kohli in his exciting Test team as he is pure box-office whenever he plays cricket. Kohli grabs the attention whenever he plays cricket and that is why he is so unique and different from other Indian cricketers. Thus far in his Test career, Kohli has scored 7,318 runs at an average of 53.41 including 27 tons and is also India’s most successful Test captain.

Apart from Kohli, another India made it to Chappell’s exciting Test team which will not shock anyone. The former Aussie cricketer picked Virender Sehwag as his opener who was a powerhouse of entertainment when he played Test cricket. Sehwag scored over 8Kruns in his Test career at a strike rate of over 80 and a batting average of touching 50.
