The Royal Challengers Bangalore took on the mighty Mumbai Indians at the Dubai International Cricket stadium. Both sides looking to get another win on the board, especially the Royal Challengers Bangalore side after having lost the previous game quite heavily to the Kings XI Punjab side.
On the other hand, Mumbai Indians will be coming into this game after winning their last encounter against the Kolkata Knight Riders at Abu Dhabi.
Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bowl first with one change coming in, Saurabh Tiwary being dropped for the young Ishan Kishan. Whereas Royal Challengers Bangalore went in with three changes, with Isuru Udana, Gurkeerat Mann and Adam Zampa coming into the side.
AB de Villiers wins it for RCB in Super Over
Early on in the innings, it was an onslaught by Devdutt Padikkal and Aaron Finch as they gave a perfect start to the innings. Followed by which it was the AB De Villiers show as his fifty helped RCB surpass the 200 run mark.
In the aftermath, Mumbai Indians had an unusual start as they lost both De Kock and Rohit Sharma early on in the innings. Things got worse as Surya Kumar Yadav was dismissed for a duck which was later followed by Hardik Pandya’s wicket.
Ishan Kishan’s knock of 99 runs ended in the final over just when we thought he would take Mumbai Indians across the finishing line. The match was tied and then in the super over it was Royal Challengers Bangalore that emerged victorious.

Washington Sundar who bowled a fantastic spell in the powerplay said that he’s happy to contribute to the side’s win. Since he wanted to contribute and he finally got the opportunity to do so against a quality team like Mumbai Indians.
“I have to do the job for my team. Happy to contribute and happy to play such a game. I wanted to contribute in any way and I was glad I did it and doing it against such a team like Mumbai was very good.

Washington Sundar further went on to praise Navdeep Saini’s temperament to bowl in the super over as he took his side across the finishing line giving just 7 runs in the super over.
I can’t say that and it’s better of Saini to bowl (when asked if he wanted to bowl the Super Over). He (Saini) did an amazing job to restrict them to 7 runs. This victory means a lot,” Washington Sundar added.
