Veteran Chennai Super Kings off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has ended his association with three-time Chennai Super Kings ahead of IPL 2021. Incidentally, reports had earlier surfaced the CSK has terminated his contract after he chose to skip the last edition of the tournament citing personal reasons.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan had joined Chennai Super Kings prior to the 2018 season of IPL for Rs 2 crore. Harbhajan Singh had played an instrumental role in helping CSK reach the final of IPL 2019 with 16 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 7.09.

As we wait for the retention players list to be out later today ahead of IPL 201, the out-of-favor India international took to the microblogging site Twitter to share the news with his fans. Harbhajan Singh admitted that he made some great friends during his stay with the franchise and also wished them luck for the future.

All the best,” Harbhajan Singh wrote in a tweet.

Harbhajan Singh will no go under the hammer during the mini-auction which is slated to take place on February 12. Along with Harbhajan, Chennai Super Kings are expected to let go of some big names ahead of the auction after finishing a disappointing seventh last season in the UAE.
As per reports, the Super Kings are also ready to let go of senior leg-spinner Piyush Chawla and batsman Murali Vijay ahead of the new season to bolster their remaining purse for the player auction. They will have some serious business to do during the auctions to revive their squad and produce a good result in the upcoming season.
