In a milestone decision, Harry Brook has been appointed the new captain of England’s white-ball cricket team. This decision follows Jos Buttler’s resignation from the post after a disastrous ICC Champions Trophy run last month. The 26-year-old cricketer’s withdrawal from the IPL 2025 was primarily to advance his international career, and he consequently received a two-year ban from the IPL.
