Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir feels India should make atleast one change for their Super 4 game against Sri Lanka. The Men in Blue will have to beat the Islanders to keep their hope alive in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022. Both teams will lock horns on Tuesday, September 6, in Dubai.

Despite their crushing defeat against Pakistan on Sunday, a lot is not expected to change for Rohit Sharma and Co. Avesh Khan is likely to slot in the playing XI after missing the last game due to health issues. However, the question that lies ahead is who should make way for the pacer.

Gautam Gambhir doesn’t want Bishnoi to be dropped for Avesh. The former India opener has suggest the name of Yuzvendra Chahal as the player who should make way for the returning Avesh.

“Avesh (Khan) for (Yuzvendra) Chahal. Definitely continue with Ravi Bishnoi, he has done everything in this game. Chahal hasn’t bowled that well in this competition so probably it is time to give Bishnoi a longer run,” Gambhir had said on Star Sports.

Ravi Bishnoi was one of India’s finest players in the match against Pakistan. In his quota of four overs, he gave only 26 runs while also picking up the important wicket of Babar Azam. In comparison, Yuzvendra Chahal was quite expensive with the ball. He leaked 43 runs in four overs while picking up the wicket of Fakhar Zaman.
