The teams have started their preparations for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, which will take place later this year. Former Pakistan pacer, Shoaib Akhtar has shared his predictions for the tournament.

Shoaib believes Pakistan will beat India in the finals, he said on Sportstak, “I have a feeling Pakistan and India will play in the T20 World Cup final and India will lose to Pakistan. Conditions in UAE will favor both India and Pakistan.”

The arch-rivals, India and Pakistan are grouped together along with New Zealand, Afghanistan, and the other two qualifiers from Round 1 in Group 2. India has an 11-0 head-to-head lead against Pakistan in ICC World ODI and T20I Cups combined. The last time India faced Pakistan in a T20 World Cup was in 2016. Virat Kohli scored an unbeaten on 55 as India chased down the target of 119 with 6 wickets and 13 balls left.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2021 has been shifted to UAE, due to rising covid cases in India. It will kickstart on October 17, just after the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) ends. The finals will take place on November 14. Though the schedule for the tournament is not out yet, the Draws have been finalized.

Comparisons between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam is wrong: Shoaib Akhtar

Shoaib Akhtar also spoke about the comparisons that are being drawn between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli. He said that the debate is in itself wrong.

“Virat has what… 70 centuries in international cricket right. So in the next five years, he will get 30 more and I want him to get 120 centuries, or at least 110. See, with these many runs, who can be compared to him? The debate in itself is wrong. And Babar is now coming through. It’s really good that there is healthy competition,” Akhtar told Sports Tak in an interview.
