Nicholas Pooran praised the Eden Gardens after Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) scored a great victory over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL 2025. In IPL 2025, the decision by Ajinkya Rahane to bowl first after winning the toss backfired, as Nicholas Pooran and Mitchell Marsh’s aggressive batting helped Lucknow Super Kings post a score of 238 for 3 against Kolkata Knight Riders.

The two in-form batsmen were merciless against any bowler at the Eden Gardens. Marsh scored 81 off 48 balls, hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes.

He added 99 runs with Aiden Markram, who scored 47 runs off 28 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes. Pooran once again gave an exhibition of his class, striking an impressive 87 off just 36 balls, which included 7 fours and 8 sixes.

KKR suffered a late batting collapse to lose their high-scoring Indian Premier League contest against LSG by a mere four runs at Eden Gardens. KKR chasing 239 crumbled terribly from 149 for two in 12 overs to 234/7 in 20 overs. Captain Ajinkya Rahane’s score of 61 off 35 balls was studded with 8 fours and 2 sixes.

Venkatesh Iyer added 45 and Rinku Singh late finished with a quickfire 38 in 15 balls, which was, unfortunately, just not enough. Earlier, Pooran’s giant knock had helped the Lucknow Super Giants to post 238/3 against the Kolkata Knight Riders in 20 overs on Tuesday. Following the coin flip, LSG openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram mercilessly tore apart the opposition bowlers.

Pooran laid in the final, hammering a huge score that proved pivotal for Lucknow. For LSG, Pooran remained unbeaten with 87 runs off 36 balls, while Marsh made 81 off 48 balls. In addition, Markram contributed 47 runs in 28 balls.
