The Super Kings are back from the den as they thump the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Batting First Chennai Super Kings posted a decent target of 168 runs at the end of 20 overs. With Valuable contributions from Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu, the total was enough as Sunrisers Hyderabad fall short of the target by just 20 runs which means CSK now have their third win of the season.
It all started at the toss as Chennai Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. It didn’t come as a surprise since this season we’ve seen how sides batting first have won majorly at Dubai.
Sunrisers Hyderabad were off to a great start as Sandeep Sharma cleaned up Faf Du Plessis on the very first delivery. But after this, it was the Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu show as the duo took Chennai Super Kings past 100 in no time.

Chennai Super Kings register their third win of IPL 2020
The intent which was missing was finally seen in the Chennai Super Kings batsmen as they went on to score 167 runs at the end of 20 overs. Obviously, the small contributions made by Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni cannot be counted out, which also includes the monstrous six Dhoni hit over long-on, which seemed like a replica of the 2011 World Cup final winning six.
On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a sloppy start as the side lost two wickets in the powerplay which included the prized wickets of Manish Pandey and David Warner. In short while, Priyam Garg too lost his wicket trying to up the run rate.
It was all in the hands of Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar to sail Sunrisers through but in all probability, it was too much to ask for as both Williamson and Shankar gave up their wickets trying to go for the big heave as Chennai Super Kings end up defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 20 runs.

I Take Great Pleasure In My Fielding – Ravindra Jadeja
The man of the match for today’s match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad was Ravindra Jadeja for his spell of 3 overs in which he picked the priced wicket of Jonny Bairstow. Ravindra Jadeja said that he was happy to have contributed to the side’s win today.
The wicket slowed down later on which is why Ravindra Jadeja was just looking to bowl on the stumps rather than giving them any room outside off.
“Very happy to contribute with both bat and ball. I was backing myself and I was only looking to see the ball and hit the ball without pre-planning. The wicket looks on the slower side so I was just looking to bowl into the stumps rather than give them room.
It is a difficult wicket for batsmen. I take great pleasure in my fielding, and whenever I field, I always look for a good run-out or a catch for the team,” Ravindra Jadeja said.
