ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: Sachin Tendulkar Lauds Afghanistan’s Win Against Pakistan, Credits Ajay Jadeja

Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is all praise for the Afghanistan cricket team for their remarkable win against Pakistan in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 on Monday, August 23 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. He expressed that their performance has been outstanding in the tournament so far, and also credited coach Ajay Jadeja.

Afghanistan defeated Pakistan by eight wickets as they comfortably chased down 283 runs, owing to a great batting performance. Their top three batters Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah slammed half-centuries to power the team to a comfortable win. This is their first-ever win against Pakistan. Former India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar hailed Afghanistan’s effort. He also credited Ajay Jadeja who is the mentor and assistant coach of the team.

“Afghanistan’s performance at this World Cup has been nothing short of outstanding. Their discipline with the bat, the temperament they’ve shown, and aggressive running between the wickets reflect their hard work. It could possibly be due to a certain Mr. Ajay Jadeja’s influence. With a formidable bowling lineup, their victories over teams like England and Pakistan indicate the emergence of a new Afghanistan team. The cricket world is taking note. Well done!” tweeted Sachin Tendulkar
