ICC Cricket World Cup 2023: [WATCH]- Indian Team Undergoes Intensive Net Practice Ahead Of Their 2023 World Cup Clash With Bangladesh In Pune

In preparation for the 2023 World Cup match against Bangladesh, Team India‘s players underwent rigorous training in the nets. This highly anticipated match between the two Asian teams will take place today (October 19) as the 17th fixture of the tournament at Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium.

The Men in Blue enter this game with a strong sense of confidence after securing victories in their first three matches of the World Cup, defeating Australia, Afghanistan, and Pakistan.

While they encountered some batting difficulties against Australia, they achieved convincing victories against Afghanistan and Pakistan with exceptional performances. Their three-game record has earned India six points, placing them in second position on the 2023 World Cup points table.

The BCCI posted a reel on their Instagram account on Thursday, offering a sneak peek into India’s practice session in preparation for the Bangladesh match. The video showcases all Indian players working hard in the nets to prepare for the upcoming game.

“There won’t be any change in my opinion” – Aakash Chopra’s thoughts on India’s lineup for the 2023 World Cup match against Bangladesh

Former Indian opener Aakash Chopra provided a pre-match analysis for the India vs. Bangladesh game in a video posted on his YouTube channel. He expressed his belief that the home team would maintain their current playing XI, favoring Shardul Thakur over Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Shami.

Chopra said:

“Will India make a change? I don’t think they will make a change because according to me there is no chance at all to play an extra spinner here. Why would you play Ravichandran Ashwin here?”

“The spinners don’t work here in the IPL and this is a World Cup match. Why would you play another spinner against a subcontinental team? So there won’t be any change in my opinion.”

He continued:

“You can repeatedly discuss the scope for one change, whether Shami can play in place of Shardul, but that is also not going to happen, because India won’t do that. India need a batter at No. 8. It doesn’t matter whether you or I like it or not.”
