Former cricketer Aakash Chopra has made his predictions for the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 finals between Australia and New Zealand. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the clash on Sunday, November 14.
Both Australia and New Zealand will be battling to win their maiden ICC T20 World Cup title. They have performed brilliantly in the league stages, winning four out of their five matches. Australia defeated Pakistan, while New Zealand won against England in the semi-finals to reach the ultimate final.

In a video on Aakash Chopra’s Youtube Channel, the former cricketer expressed his thoughts on the final. He said:
“Normally it is a safe bet to say that whoever wins the toss will win the match. But it will be a very stupid thing if I say that because you expect more from me, that it is not an issue even if it goes wrong, the memes should continue to be made and the applause should continue.”
“I am going with Australia although my heart beats strongly for New Zealand. I really want them to actually lift the trophy, their first-ever T20 World Cup trophy. They have not won the 50-over World Cup also to date. This is their time, but I am going with Australia, maybe that is going to work for New Zealand,” he added.
Left-arm pacers will pick two or more wickets – Aakash Chopra
The pitch at the Dubai International Stadium is expected to offer assistance to the bowlers. Initially, the pacers can extract some help, however, as the match progresses, spinners will come into play.
Further making his predictions for the finals, Aakash Chopra said that the left-arm pacers will pick at least two wickets. He also added that Adam Zampa will scalp more wickets than Sodhi. Aakash stated:
“Left-arm pacers will pick two or more wickets. There is Starc on one side and Boult on the other. It’s a very safe prediction, don’t know because these days the predictions don’t go right.”
