On the other hand, Afghanistan won their last match against Namibia. They set Namibia a target of 160 runs in 20 overs. Mohammad Shahzad’s 45 was the top score for the team. In the second innings, Naveen-ul-Haq and Hamid Hassan, took three wickets each, to restrict Namibia for 98 runs. Afghanistan are second on the Group 2 points table, with 2 wins in 3 matches.
Afghanistan beat Namibia in their third match today to register the second win on the roll to reach semi final round, for which they will have to get over the likes of India and New Zealand or at least one of them with a big margin.
