India went down against New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday, October 31. Loing earlier against Pakistan, they have now lost both their matches so far in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They are almost standing on the brink of exiting the tournament with the Indian fans and supporters very angry with the Indian cricket team.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli admitted that they were not brave in the match against the Kiwis. He further said that their body language was not upto the mark in the game. Former Indian cricketers are also saying that Indi ahead the fear of failure even before they took the field in the cricket match.

New Zealand have been dominating India in ICC events in recent times. They beat India in the 2016 T20 World Cup followed by the ICC 2019 World Cup. The Kiwis beat India in the ICC World Test Championship final and now in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

“To be brutal upfront, I don’t think we were brave enough with bat/ball. We obviously didn’t have much to play with the ball. We were just not brave enough in our body language when we entered the field and NZ had better intensity, body language. Every time we took a chance, we lost a wicket. It’s most often a result of hesitation of whether you should go for a shot or not. When you play for India, there are loads of expectations. We are watched, people come to the stadium and everyone who plays for India needs to embrace that and cope with it” said Kohli on his part in the post-match presentation after the game.

Meanwhile, on his return from the Dubai cricket stadium an Indian fan slammed the BCCI and the Indian cricket team for focusing on IPL more than international cricket.

Slamming the BCCI and the IPL he said “Something to learn from today. This is what happens when you become arrogant. First of all BCCI, second the IPL. BCCI and IPL … calm down, you are not the god. This is reality. You are not playing for IPL, you are playing for your country. It’s so important, put it in your mind, you are playing for your country, on the pitch you have to show. Bullshit this is “ he said.

India needs to win all their remaining games and hope that a few results go their way if they want to make it to the semi-finals. They take on Afghanistan next on November 3 in Abu Dhabi.
