Afghanistan pacer Naveen ul Haq was seen smiling after the commentators were discussing how his bowling action with Jasprit Bumrah’s. This happened when India took on Afghanistan in this ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
Naveen ul Haq has been in the limelight, and many commentators and cricket experts have discussed his bowling action as it is the same as India’s Jasprit Bumrah.
Mpumelelo Mbangwa who was in the commentary said:
Many of them have already likened Naveen to Bumrah. The hyperextension of the elbow as it goes over, the arm closes in, all pretty similar. Different pace yes, but the braced front leg – look at that hyperextension of the bowling arm, the elbow. You see where they’re delivering from – so far in front of the popping crease.”

India thrash Afghanistan by 66 runs
India went on to beat Afghanistan by 66 runs to register their first win of the tournament. However, it’s a tough road for India ahead in the tournament and are dependent on other matches too. Their hope of qualifying are hanging by the thread.
Ravichandran Ashwin who made a comeback in white-ball cricket after four years was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2/14 in his first game of the T20 World Cup 2021.
Besides, Virat Kohli after the match was positive and said:
“We spoke in the team meeting that we have to focus on the small chance we have (to qualify) and stay positive and hunt that chance down. We don’t decide we’re going all out. Back the guys because they’re so skilful, and sometimes it comes off like today. To give credit to the opposition, they bowled really well in the first two matches and didn’t let us get away.”
