ICC T20 World Cup 2021: Watch: Ritika Sajdeh’s Reaction After Adam Milne Drops Rohit Sharma In The First Ball

India’s vice-captain Rohit Sharma was dropped on the first ball of his innings by Adam Milne during Match 28 of the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. Rohit Sharma was unexpectedly sent down the order as his usual opening spot was taken by left-handed batsmen Ishan Kishan.

Rohit Sharma who is known are one of the most aggressive batsmen in Modern cricket at the moment tried to play the pull shot upfront to Trent Boult who is his Mumbai Indians teammate as well. No one can master the Pull shot like Rohit does, but this time around he failed to connect the ball and it was a chance for Adam Milne to catch it, which was eventually dropped.

New Zealand’s Adam Milne dropped the easiest catch anyone can get at the square leg boundary. The ball was just in his hands, but he could not catch it properly. However, with being dropped on duck Indian Vice-Captain Rohit Sharma could not grab this opportunity and capitalize his innings into a big score as Ish Sodhi got the better of Sharma once again.

India stare at ouster from the T20 World Cup

Two defeats in two games have left the Indian team battered and bruised and on the brink of a shocking exit from the T20 World Cup 2021. The team has looked totally out of place. After the embarrassing defeat, Indian Skipper Virat Kohli said:

“I thought we were brutal upfront. We weren’t brave enough when we entered the field, but NZ sustained that pressure. Every time we took a chance, we lost a wicket. It’s most often a result of hesitation of whether you should go for a shot or not. When you play for India, there are loads of expectations. We are watched, people come to the stadium and everyone who plays for India needs to embrace that and cope with it. We haven’t done that in these two games, and that’s why we haven’t won. We have to be optimistic and positive and take calculated risks. We have to disconnect from the pressure and continue with our process and play a positive brand of cricket. There’s a lot of cricket to play in the tournament.”
